Olivier Meys
Olivier Meys graduated in film and radio directing at the Institute of Broadcasting Arts (IAD – Belgium, 2000) and quickly went to work in China. He was a first-hand witness of the important social changes experienced by that country in recent years. Olivier Meys has directed numerous award-winning radio documentaries in several international festivals (SCAM Radio Grand Prize in 2007, Nagra Grand Prize for creation at the Brest Wavelength Festival in 2010).
Olivier Meys has also directed short and documentary films, including Vies nouvelles, First Film Prize at the “Traces de Vies” festival (2005) and Qian men Qian, SCAM International Prize “Cinéma du réel” in 2008. Bitter Flowers is his first fiction feature film.
